Mr. Larry Comstock has experienced a life most individuals only dream of or have seen in a James Bond movie. After graduating from the University of South Dakota with a BS in Mathematics and BS in Sociology, Mr. Comstock joined the U.S Air Force, where he earned his wings as a Pilot. From 1971 to 1974, he flew F-100 Super Sabres and was an active member of the Iowa Air National Guard. In 1974 after leaving the Air Force, Mr. Comstock worked for the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Although Mr. Comstock will describe his time with the FBI as “extraordinary”, he will never elaborate stating, “It’s classified.”
Upon leaving the FBI, Mr. Comstock started his finance career as a financial planner focusing on mathematical algorithms, allocations, oil/gas probabilities and real estate strategies. This well-disciplined and analytical work model led Mr. Comstock through the 80’s and early 90’s as a financial planner specializing in various trading strategies and allocation approaches. During the late 90's and early 2000's, Mr. Comstock co-founded a multi-million dollar cable business. In 2003, this business was sold to a successfully traded New York Stock Exchange Technology Company.
After selling this business, Mr. Comstock spent a majority of his time identifying and incorporating financial strategies for pooled investment vehicles. Over his career, Mr. Comstock has reviewed over 2000 allocation strategies and is still actively assessing financial approaches.
Mr. Comstock will add immense knowledge and vast financial experience to our VCAM team.
