Ed Duarte has over thirty years of experience as a personal, business and tax consultant to high net worth clients nationwide. Over the course of a career started in 1974, Mr. Duarte has advised thousands of individuals and companies regarding high net worth strategies related to estate planning, family owned businesses and tax planning. Mr. Duarte has done stints at US Bank Corporation, Cal Land Real Estate, Pacific Bay Bank and has provided private consulting for several high net worth estates.
Duarte began consulting for Valentine Capital fifteen years ago. During that time, Ed Duarte has been instrumental in the growth of Valentine Capital Asset Management.
Ed studied business administration at Diablo Valley College, accounting at Oakland City College and economics at Ohlone College.
Outside of the office and world of economics, Mr. Duarte is proud to have earned his Pastoral of Ministry Certificate from the Diocese of Oakland. He also volunteered as a member of the Franciscan Covenant for 4 years and lived at the Franciscan Mission San Antonio community as a Secular Franciscan. In addition, Ed is an accomplished sports fisherman. He recently caught an one hundred pound black tip shark in Galveston Bay, TX. Ed often entertains the office with true life “fish stories.”
